Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28878

Muhammad bin Bashar and Nasr bin Ali told us, they said Abu Ahmad told us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Al-Dahhak bin Uthman, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Omar, that a man greeted the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, while he was urinating, but he did not respond to him, meaning peace. Muhammad bin Yahya told us Al-Naysaburi, Muhammad ibn Yusuf narrated to us, on the authority of Sufyan, on the authority of Al-Dahhak ibn Uthman, with this chain of transmission similar to it. And in the chapter on the authority of Alqamah ibn Al-Fagha'u, Jabir, Al-Bara', and Al-Muhajir bin Qunfud. Abu Issa said this is a good and authentic hadith.
