Hadith #28935
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
" يَا عَلِيُّ لاَ تُتْبِعِ النَّظْرَةَ النَّظْرَةَ فَإِنَّ لَكَ الأُولَى وَلَيْسَتْ لَكَ الآخِرَةُ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ شَرِيكٍ .
Ali bin Hajar told us, Sharik told us, on the authority of Abu Rabi’ah, on the authority of Ibn Buraidah, on the authority of his father, he narrated it, and he said
“O Ali, do not follow one look with another, for you have the first but not the afterlife.” Abu Issa said: This is a good, strange hadith that we do not know. Except from the hadith of Sharik
