Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29002

Abu Saeed Al-Ashjaj told us, Yahya bin Abdul-Malik bin Abi Ghaniya told us, my father told me, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Zar, on the authority of Abdullah, He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Indeed, among poetry there is wisdom.” Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith from this perspective, but he narrated it. Abu Sa`id al-Ashjaj on the authority of Ibn Abi Ghaniyeh. And others narrated this hadith on the authority of Ibn Abi Ghaniyeh. This hadith was narrated on the authority of Hadiths other than this, on the authority of Abdullah bin Masoud, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. And on the authority of Ubayy bin Ka’b and Ibn Abbas. And Aisha And Buraydah and Kathir bin Abdullah, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather.
