Hadith #29879
Sufyan bin Waki’ told us, he said, Ubayd Allah bin Musa told us, on the authority of Issa bin Omar, on the authority of Al-Suddi, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, he said he was with the Prophet May God’s prayers and peace be upon him. A bird came and said, “O God, bring me the most beloved of Your creation, so that this bird may eat with me.” Then Ali came and ate. With him. Abu Issa said: This is a strange hadith. We do not know it from the hadith of al-Suddi except from this route, and this hadith was narrated from someone else. Narrated on the authority of Anas. Issa bin Omar is Kufa, and Al-Suddi’s name is Ismail bin Abdul Rahman. He met Anas bin Malik and saw Al-Hussein. Ibn Ali was trusted by Shu’bah, Sufyan Al-Thawri and Zaida, and Yahya bin Saeed Al-Qattan trusted him.
Narrated by
Anas ibn Malik (RA)
