Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29914

Qutaibah narrated to us, he said, Al-Layth narrated to us, on the authority of Yahya bin Saeed, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi’ah, that Aisha, she said, stayed up late The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Medina one night and said, “I wish a good man would guard me tonight.” She said, “While we were like that, We heard the rattle of weapons. He said, “Who is this?” Saad bin Abi Waqqas said. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him, “What brought you here?” Saad said, “I became afraid for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, so I came to guard him. So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, prayed for him and then he slept.” This is a good and authentic hadith.
