Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29915

Ahmad bin Mani’ told us, he said Hushaym told us, he said Husayn told us, on the authority of Hilal bin Yasaf, on the authority of Abdullah bin Zalim Al-Mazini, On the authority of Saeed bin Zayd bin Amr bin Nufayl, he said: I bear witness against the nine that they are in Paradise, and if I bear witness against the tenth, I will not sin. It was said, “How was that?” He said, “We were with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in Hira’, and he said, “Stay firm in Hira’, for there is no one against you except a prophet, a truthful person, or a martyr.” It was said, “And who are they?” The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Abu Bakr, Omar, Uthman, Ali, Talha, Al-Zubayr, Sa’d, and Abd. Al-Rahman bin Awf. It was said, “Who is the tenth?” He said, “I.” Abu Issa said, “This is a hasan and authentic hadith. It was narrated through more than one authority on the authority of Sa’eed.” Ibn Zayd, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. Ahmad Ibn Mani’ told us, he said Al-Hajjaj Ibn Muhammad told us, he said Shu’bah told me, on the authority of Al-Hurr Ibn Al-Sabah, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Akhnas, on the authority of Sa`id ibn Zaid, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, something similar in its meaning. This is a hasan hadith.
