Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29925

Abu Ahmad Hatim bin Siyah Al-Maruzi told us, Abd al-Razzaq told us, Muammar told us, on the authority of Ibn Ajlan, on the authority of Yazid bin Qusayt, On the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: We used to call upon Ja`far ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, the father of the poor, so when we came to him, we would approach him. He did not come to him, so we came to him one day and did not find anything with him, so he took out a jar of honey, broke it, and made us lick some of it. Abu Issa said. This is a hasan ghareeb hadith from the hadith of Abu Salamah on the authority of Abu Hurairah.
