Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29964

Abu Kurayb told us, he said, Ibrahim bin Yusuf bin Abi Ishaq told us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Al-Aswad bin Yazid, that He heard Abu Musa say, “My brother and I have come from Yemen, and all we see from time to time is that Abdullah bin Masoud is a man from the family of the Prophet.” The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, because of what we see of his and his mother’s coming to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. Abu Issa said, “This is a good, authentic, and strange hadith from this perspective.” It was narrated by Sufyan Al-Thawri on the authority of Abu Ishaq.
