Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29038

Muhammad ibn Bashar narrated to us, he said, Abu Ahmad narrated to us, he said, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Laila, on the authority of his brother, Issa, on the authority of Abdul Rahman Ibn Abi Laila, on the authority of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari, that he had a mistake in which he had dates, and the ogres would come and take them from him. He said, “They doubted.” That To the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “Then go, and when you see her, say, In the name of God, answer the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” He said, so he took her and she swore to Do not come back. So he sent her and came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “What has your prisoner done?” He said, “You swore not to come back.” He said “She lied and she is lying again.” He said, so he took her again, and she swore not to come back. So he sent her away and came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “What did your prisoner do?” He said, “She swore not to come back.” He said, “She lied and she is lying again.” So he took her and said What I am leaving you until I take you to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him. She said, “I am mentioning to you something.” Ayat al-Kursi. Recite it in your house, so he will not come near you. Satan or anyone else. He said, so he came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “What did your prisoner do?” He said, so he told him what she said. He said, “She told the truth, but it was a lie.” This is a hasan ghareeb hadith. On the authority of Ubayy ibn Ka’b.
