قال: أرسل علي (رضي الله عنه) ابنة أبي جهل يخطبها. فلما سمعت فاطمة (ع) هذا الخبر أتت إلى رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وآله) فقالت: إن أهل قبيلتك يظنون أنك تحترم بناتك. لا تغضب. علي مستعد للزواج من ابنة أبي جهل. واستعد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم لإلقاء الخطبة. (قال المسور) فلما قرأ الحمد وسناء سمعته يقول: أنا أبو العاص بن زوجت ابنتي للربيع. ما قاله لي كان صحيحا. وفاطمة قطعتي؛ أنا لا أحب أن يعاني أبدًا. والله إن ابنة رسول الله وبنت عدو الله في نفس الشخص، ألا يستطيع علي أن يتراجع عن خطبته. He said, 'Ali (RA) sent Abu Jahel's daughter with a marriage proposal. Fatimah (R.A.) heard this news and came to the Messenger of Allah (S.A.W.S.) and said, "The people of your tribe think that you respect your daughters." Don't be angry. Ali is ready to marry the daughter of Abu Jahel. The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) prepared to deliver the sermon. (Miswar said) When he recited Hamd and Sana, I heard him say, I am Abul 'as ibn I married my daughter to Rabi. What he told me was true. And Fatimah is my piece; I never like him to suffer. By Allah, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah and the daughter of the enemy of Allah are united to the same person can't Ali withdrew his marriage proposal.
