قال: كنت نازلاً مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بالجوار الذي بين مكة والمدينة. وكان معه بلال رضي الله عنه. ثم جاء أعرابي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: ألم تفي بما وعدتني؟ فقال له: «اقبل البشارة». قال: اقبل البشرى، كما أخبرتني بذلك مراراً. ثم التفت إلى أبي موسى وبلال مغضبا، وقال: لقد رد الرجل البشرى. كلاهما التقطا الوعاء وفعلا حسب التعليمات. ثم اتصلت بوالدتي
He said: I was staying with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in the neighborhood between Mecca and Medina. Bilal (may God be pleased with him) was with him. Then a Bedouin came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: Did you not fulfill what you promised me? He said to him, “Accept the good news.” He said: Accept the good news, as you have told me that many times. Then he turned to Abu Musa and Bilal angrily, and said: The man has returned the good news.
