Hadith #37842
وقال: كان زيد بن أرقم رضي الله عنه يكبر في صلاة الجنازة أربعا. كما قرأ خمس تكبيرات في الجنازة. ثم سألناه (سبب ذلك). قال: فكبر رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خمسا. (مسلم) [1]
He said, Zayd Ibn Arqam (RA) used to say four takbeers in Salatul Janazah. He also recited five takbeers at a funeral. We then asked him (the reason for this). He said, Rasulullah (may peace be upon him) also gave five takbeers. (Muslim) [1]
