وَعَنْ ثَوْبَانَ قَالَ: خَرَجْنَا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فِي جَنَازَةٍ فَرَأَى نَاسًا رُكْبَانًا فَقَالَ: «أَلَا تَسْتَحْيُونَ؟ إِنَّ مَلَائِكَةَ اللّهِ عَلَى أَقْدَامِهِمْ وَأَنْتُمْ عَلى ظُهُورِ الدَّوَابِّ» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ وَرَوى أَبُو دَاوُدَ نَحْوَه وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيّ: وَقَدْ رُوِىَ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْقُوفًا
On the authority of Thawban, he said: We went out with the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, at a funeral, and he saw people standing there, so he said: “Aren’t you ashamed?” “The angels of God are on their feet, and you are on the backs of animals.” It was narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah, and Abu Dawud narrated something similar, and Al-Tirmidhi said: It was narrated on the authority of Thawban suspended
