Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #38882

Hadith #38882
وعن سهل بن حنيف رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏ "‏من سأل الله تعالى الشهادة بصدق بلغه الله منازل الشهداء وإن مات على فراشه‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Sahl bin Hanif, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever sincerely asks God Almighty for martyrdom, God will grant him the status of martyrs, even if he dies in his bed” ((Narrated by Muslim)).
