Hadith #38979
وعن عياض بن حمار رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏ "‏إن الله تعالى أوحى إلي أن تواضعوا حتى لا يبغي أحد على أحد، ولا يفخر أحد على أحد‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏ قال أهل اللغة‏:‏ البغي‏:‏ التعدي والاستطالة‏.‏
On the authority of Iyad bin Himar, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “God Almighty has inspired me to be humble so that no one oppresses anyone, and no one is proud of anyone.” ((Narrated by Muslim)) The linguists said: transgression: transgression and prolongation.
