Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #39078

On the authority of Hudhayfah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade us from using silk, brocade, and drinking from vessels of gold and silver, and he said: “They are for them in this world and they are yours in the hereafter” ((Agreed upon)). And in a narration in the Two Sahihs on the authority of Hudhayfah, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: “No.” Wear silk or brocade, and do not drink from gold vessels And silver, and do not eat from its dishes.”
