وَعَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّه قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ ﷺ: إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا سَبَقَتْ لَه مِنَ اللّهِ مَنْزِلَةٌ لَمْ يَبْلُغْهَا بِعَمَلِهِ ابْتَلَاهُ اللهُ فِىْ جَسَدِه أَوْفِي مَالِه أَوْ فِي وَلَدِه ثُمَّ صَبَّرَه عَلى ذلِكَ يُبَلِّغُهُ الْمَنْزِلَةَ الَّتِي سَبَقَتْ لَه مِنَ اللهِ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَأَبُوْ دَاوُدَ
On the authority of Muhammad bin Khalid Al-Sulami, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, he said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: If a servant is preceded in status by God, he will not He attains it through his work. God tested him in his body, or in his wealth, or in his child, and then he was patient in that. He attains the status that God has preceded for him. Narrated by Ahmed and Abu Dawood
