On the authority of Abdullah bin Busr, on the authority of his deaf sister, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Do not fast on the Sabbath except what has been made obligatory for you.” If any of you finds nothing but the bark of a grape or the stick of a tree, let him chew it.” Narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, and Al-Darimi.
