Mishkatul Masabih — Hadith #39858

He said, I asked Ubayy ibn Ka'b, your (Deeni) brother 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said, "Whoever stays up all night for prayer throughout the year, he will receive the 'Qadr Rajni'." Ubai Ibn Ka'b said, May Allah have mercy on Ibn Mas'ud. He is at This is said so that people do not sit on trust. Or he knows that 'Qadr' comes in the month of Ramadan (Ramadan). And Qadr Rajni falls on one night of the last ten days of Ramadan (Ramadan). That night is the twenty-seventh night. Meanwhile Ubai Ibn Ka'b swore and said 'Insha-Allah-ha' Without saying, "Undoubtedly, the night of Qadr (of Ramadan) is the twenty-seventh night." I said, O Abul Munzeer (Ubai's nickname)! On what basis did you say this? He said, On the basis of the signs and verses that the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, gave us said (He said), the sun will rise in the morning of that night, but there will be no rays or light in it.
