Hadith #40113
قال. سألت أنس بن مالك (رضي الله عنه) عن صلاة النافلة بعد العصر؟ قال (أجاب). وكان عمر (رضي الله عنه) يضرب أيدي المصلين بعد العصر. نحن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. وكان صلى الله عليه وسلم يصلي ركعتين قبل صلاة المغرب بعد غروب الشمس. (سمع هذا) سألت أنس. فهل صلى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم هاتين الركعتين؟ قال. وكان رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) يشاهدنا ونحن نصلي. لكنه لم يطلب الدفع. ولم يتوقف مرة أخرى. (مسلم) [1]
He said. I asked Anas Ibn Malik (RA) about the Nafl Salat after Asr. He (replied) said. Umar (R.A.) used to beat the hands of those performing Nafl Salat after `Asr. We are the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him). Wasallam) used to offer two rak'ahs of prayer before the Maghrib prayer after the sun had set. (Hearing this) I asked Anas. Did the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) pray these two rak'ats? He said. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) used to watch us perform the prayer. But he did not ask to pay. He didn't stop again. (Muslim) [1]
