Hadith #40141
قال سألت أبي يا أبت! صليت خلف رسول الله (صلى الله عليه وسلم) وأبي بكر وعمر وعثمان وعلي (رضي الله عنه) في الكوفة نحو خمس سنين. هل هؤلاء الكرام "دعاء القنوت"؟ فأجاب: يا ولدي! (دعاء القنوت) بدعة. (الترمذي، النسائي، ابن ماجه) [1]
He said, I asked my father, O father! You prayed behind Rasulullah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam), Abu Bakr, 'Umar, 'Uthman, and 'Ali (RA) in Kufa for about five years. Are these dignified people “Du’a recited Qunut"? He replied, O my son! (Reciting Du'a Qunut) is innovation. (Tirmidhi, Nasa'i, Ibn Majah) [1]
