Hadith #40155
قال: لقد شاركت مع النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم في غزوات كثيرة. وكنت معه يوم فتح مكة. وأقام في ذلك الوقت بمكة ثمانية عشر يوماً. فصلى صلى الله عليه وسلم أربع ركعات، ثم صلى ركعتين من الصلاة. فقال (عليه السلام) يا أهل المدينة! يصلي أربع ركعات. أنا مسافر (وبالتالي أداء ركعتين). (أبو داود) [1]
He said, I participated in many battles with the Prophet (peace be upon him). I was with him during the conquest of Makkah. At this time he stayed in Makkah for eighteen days. He (peace be upon him) said four rak'ats He performed two rak'ahs of the salat. He (peace be upon him) said, O people of the city! Pray four rak'ahs. I am a traveler (therefore performing two rak'ahs). (Abu Dawud) [1]
