Mishkatul Masabih — Hadith #40156

On the authority of Ibn Umar, he said: I prayed two rak’ahs with the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, during the noon prayer while traveling, and after that, two rak’ahs. And in a narration, he said: I prayed with the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, while he was present. And while traveling, I prayed four rak’ahs of noon with him in his presence, and after that two rak’ahs, and I prayed two rak’ahs of noon after that while traveling. After that, he performed two rak'ahs, and the afternoon prayer, two rak'ahs, and he did not pray anything after that, and the Maghrib prayer at home and when traveling is the same, three rak'ahs, and there is no difference in attendance. There is no travelling, and it is the Witr prayer of the day, and after it there are two rak’ahs. Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi
