Mishkatul Masabih — Hadith #40197
Hadith #40197
On the authority of Mikhnaf bin Sulaym, he said: We were standing with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, at Arafat, and I heard him say: “O people, every household has a duty every year. A sacrifice and an ‘Aiterah. Do you know what an ‘Aiterah’ is? “It is what you call rugby.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, and Al-Nasa’i. And Ibn Majah. Al-Tirmidhi said: This is a strange hadith with a weak chain of narration. Abu Dawud said: And Al-Aitrah is abrogated.
