Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #40513

On the authority of Omar Ibn Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “None of you performs ablution and completes the ablution - or completes the ablution - and then says: I bear witness that there is no god but God alone without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and Messenger, except that the eight gates of Paradise are opened for him and he may enter through whichever one he wishes.” (Narrated by Muslim) Al-Tirmidhi added: “O God, make me one of those who repent and make me one of those who purify themselves.”
