Hadith #40547
وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا قام من الليل افتتح صلاته بركعتين خفيفتين ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said that when the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, got up at night, he would begin his prayer with two light rak’ahs ((narrated by Muslim)).
