Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #40564

On his authority, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Among the people’s best livelihood is a man holding the reins of his horse for the sake of God, flying on board whenever he hears a shout, or a startled one flying on board, seeking death or death in his place, or a man in possession of spoils or a handful of these branches or the depths of one of these valleys, who performs prayers and pays zakat, and worships his Lord until certainty comes to him.
