Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #40587

Hadith #40587
وعن أبي ذر رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قلت يا رسول الله أي الأعمال أفضل‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏"‏الإيمان بالله، والجهاد في سبيل الله‏"‏ قلت‏:‏ أي الرقاب أفضل‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏"‏أنفسها عند أهلها وأكثرها ثمنًا” ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
On the authority of Abu Dharr, may God be pleased with him, he said: I said, O Messenger of God, which deeds are best? He said: “Faith in God and jihad for the sake of God.” I said: Which slaves are best? He said: “The most precious ones are with their owners and the most valuable” ((Agreed upon))
