Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #40622
Hadith #40622
On the authority of Sufyan bin Abdullah, may God be pleased with him, he said: I said, O Messenger of God, tell me something that I should adhere to. He said:
“Say, ‘My Lord, God, then be upright.’” I said: “O Messenger of God, what am I afraid of? What do you fear for me?” So he took hold of himself, then said: “This.” Al-Tirmidhi narrated it and said it is a good and authentic hadith.
