Hadith #40632
وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
"عذبت امرأة في هِرة حبستها حتى ماتت، فدخلت فيها النار، لا هي أطعمتها وسقتها، إذ هي حبستها، ولا هي تركتها تأكل من خشاش الأرض" ((متفق عليه)). ((خشاش الأرض)) يفتح الخاء المعجمة وبالشين المعجمة المكررة، وهي: هوامها وحشراتها.
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
“A woman was tortured over a cat that she locked up until it died, so it entered the Fire. She neither fed it nor gave it water to drink, since she had locked it up, nor did she let it eat from the vermin of the earth.” (Agreed upon)
