Hadith #40633
On his authority, he passed by young men from Quraish who had set up birds and were shooting at them, and they had given the owner of the bird every miss from their arrows. When they saw Ibn Umar, they dispersed, and Ibn Umar said: Who did this? May God curse whoever did this. The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, cursed whoever uses something that has a spirit as a target. ((Agreed upon)). ‏ “Purpose”: by opening the vocative ghān and rā’, which is the goal, and the thing at which one aims.
