Hadith #46265
وعن عائشة رضي الله عنها، أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، كان يصلي إحدى عشرة ركعة- تعني في الليل- يسجد السجدة من ذلك قدر ما يقرأ أحدكم خمسين آية قبل أن يرفع رأسه، ويركع ركعتين قبل صلاة الفجر، ثم يضطجع على شقه الأيمن حتى يأتيه المنادي للصلاة، ‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to pray eleven rak’ahs - meaning at night - prostrating as much as one of you recites fifty verses before raising his head, and he would perform two rak’ahs before the dawn prayer, then lie on his right side until the caller to prayer came to him, ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)).
