Hadith #40671
وعن عمرو بن العاص رضي الله عنه سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول‏:‏ ‏ "‏إذا حكم الحاكم، فاجتهد، ثم أصاب، فله أجران، وإن حكم واجتهد، فأخطأ، فله أجر‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Amr bin Al-Aas, may God be pleased with him, he heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “If the judge makes a ruling and is diligent, then he is correct, he has two rewards, and if he makes a ruling and makes an effort and makes a mistake, then he has a reward.” (Agreed upon)
