Hadith #44723
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَبَّلَ الْحَجَرَ ثُمَّ قَالَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّكَ حَجَرٌ وَلَوْلَا أَنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبَّلَكَ مَا قَبَّلْتُكَ‏.‏
Abdul Razzaq told us, Abdullah bin Omar told us, on the authority of Nafi’, on the authority of Ibn Omar, that Omar, may God be pleased with him, kissed the stone and then said, “I know You are a stone, and had I not seen the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, kiss you, I would not have kissed you.
