حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَائِمٌ يَخْطُبُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَيَّةُ سَاعَةٍ هَذِهِ فَقَالَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ انْقَلَبْتُ مِنْ السُّوقِ فَسَمِعْتُ النِّدَاءَ فَمَا زِدْتُ عَلَى أَنْ تَوَضَّأْتُ فَأَقْبَلْتُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ الْوُضُوءُ أَيْضًا وَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِالْغُسْلِ.
A spirit narrated to us, Malik bin Anas narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Salim bin Abdullah bin Omar, may God be pleased with them both, on the authority of his father, that A man, one of the companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered the mosque on Friday, and Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, was standing. He was giving a sermon, and Omar, may God be pleased with him, said, “What hour is this?” He said, “O Commander of the Faithful, I turned from the market and heard the call, so I did more than that.” I performed ablution and came, and Omar, may God be pleased with him, said: Perform ablution as well, and you have learned that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He was ordering us to wash
