Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45184

Ali bin Ishaq told us, Abdullah told us, Al-Hajjaj bin Artat told us, on the authority of Ata’ al-Khurasani, that he told him on the authority of a master, His wife, on the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, said, “When it is Friday, the devils come out, persecuting the people.” They will go out in their streets and carry the banners, and the angels will sit at the doors of the mosques, writing down the people according to their station, the one who comes first, the one praying, and the next. Until the Imam comes out, whoever approaches the Imam and listens or listens and does not cancel will have two equal parts of reward, and whoever stays away On his authority, so he listened and paid attention and did not cancel, he will have a measure of reward. And whoever approaches the Imam and does not listen, and does not listen, it will be upon him. He is responsible for a burden, and whoever turns away from him and negates and does not listen or listen, there is a full measure of the burden upon him, and whoever says “Shh” has spoken. And who? He spoke, but there was no Friday prayer for him, then he said, “This is how I heard your Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.”
