حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ جُنْدُبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ، سَمِعَ الزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ ثُمَّ نُبَادِرُ فَمَا نَجِدُ مِنْ الظِّلِّ إِلَّا مَوْضِعَ أَقْدَامِنَا أَوْ قَالَ فَلَا نَجِدُ مِنْ الظِّلِّ مَوْضِعَ أَقْدَامِنَا.
Yahya bin Adam narrated to us, Ibn Abi Dhib narrated to us, Muslim bin Jundub narrated to us, whoever heard Al-Zubayr bin Al-Awwam, may God be pleased with him, narrated to us. On his authority, he says, “We used to pray Friday prayers with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and then we would rush out, but we would find no shade except a place.” Our feet, or he said, so we cannot find the place for our feet in the shadows.
