Hadith #46121
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول‏:‏ “إذا صليتم علي الميت، فأخلصوا له الدعاء‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: “When you pray for the dead, pray sincerely for him” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud)).
