Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46174

On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, he heard the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “A man should not be alone with a woman unless she has a mahram with her, and a woman should not travel except with a mahram.” A man said to him: O Messenger of God, my wife went out on a pilgrimage, and I was registered for such-and-such expedition? He said: “Go and perform Hajj with your wife.” ((Agreed upon)).
