Hadith #46274
وعنه، رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، يرغب في قيام رمضان من غير أن يأمرهم فيه بعزيمة، فيقول‏:‏ ‏ "‏من قام رمضان إيمانًا واحتسابًا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه‏"‏ ‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On his authority, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, wanted to pray Ramadan without ordering them to do so with determination, so he would say: “Whoever prays Ramadan out of faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.” ((Narrated by Muslim)).
