وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال: كان لرسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم مؤذنان: بلال وابن أم مكتوم. فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم
" إن بلالا يؤذن بليل فكلوا واشربوا حتى يؤذن ابن أم مكتوم" قال ولم يكن بينهما إلا أن ينزل هذا ويرقى هذا، ((متفق عليه))
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, had two muezzins: Bilal and Ibn Umm Maktum. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said:
“Bilal gives the call to prayer at night, so eat and drink until Ibn Umm Maktum gives the call to prayer,” he said, and there was nothing between them except that this one descend and the other ascend, ((Agreed upon))
