Hadith #46847
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ السَّلامِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ‏:‏ الْمَدْحُ ذَبْحٌ، قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ‏:‏ يَعْنِي إِذَا قَبِلَهَا‏.‏
Muhammad told us, he said: Abdul Salam told us, he said: Hafs told us, on the authority of Ubayd Allah, on the authority of Zayd bin Aslam, on the authority of his father, he said: I heard Omar He says: Praise is sacrifice. Muhammad said: This means if he accepts it.
