حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ مَا تَوَادَّ اثْنَانِ فِي اللهِ جَلَّ وَعَزَّ أَوْ فِي الإِسْلاَمِ، فَيُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَهُمَا إِلاَّ بِذَنْبٍ يُحْدِثُهُ أَحَدُهُمَا‏.‏
Yahya bin Sulayman told us, saying: Ibn Wahb told me, saying: Amr told me, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Habib, on the authority of Sinan bin Saad, On the authority of Anas, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: Two people do not love each other for the sake of God Almighty or for the sake of Islam, and He separates them except through sin.
