Hadith #47047
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ، أَنَّ أَبَا الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ حَدَّثَهُ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: إِذَا أَحْبَبْتَ أَخًا فَلاَ تُمَارِهِ، وَلاَ تُشَارِّهِ، وَلاَ تَسْأَلْ عَنْهُ، فَعَسَى أَنْ تُوَافِيَ لَهُ عَدُوًّا فَيُخْبِرَكَ بِمَا لَيْسَ فِيهِ، فَيُفَرِّقَ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ.
Abdullah bin Salih told us, he said: Muawiyah told me, that Abu Al-Zahiriyyah told him, on the authority of Jubayr bin Nufayr, on the authority of Muadh bin Jabal that He said: If you love a brother, do not quarrel with him, do not consult with him, and do not ask about him, for perhaps you will make an enemy of his and he will tell you what is not in him. Then he separates you from him
