حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عُبَيْدٍ مَوْلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَكَانَ مِنَ الْقُرَّاءِ وَأَهْلِ الْفِقْهِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: يُسْتَجَابُ لأَحَدِكُمْ مَا لَمْ يَعْجَلْ، يَقُولُ: دَعَوْتُ فَلَمْ يُسْتَجَبْ لِي.
Abu Al-Yaman told us, he said: Shuaib told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, he said: Ibn Ubaid, the client of Abdul Rahman, told me, and he was one of the reciters. And the people of jurisprudence, that he heard Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: One of you will be answered as long as he is not in a hurry.
