حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ إِذَا دَعَوْتُمُ اللَّهَ فَاعْزِمُوا فِي الدُّعَاءِ، وَلاَ يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ‏:‏ إِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَعْطِنِي، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ مُسْتَكْرِهَ لَهُ‏.‏
Musaddad told us, he said: Abdul-Warith told us, on the authority of Abdul-Aziz, on the authority of Anas, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: If you call upon God So be determined in your supplication, and do not say to any of you: If you wish, give me, for God does not deprive Him of anything.
