Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #47445

Musa bin Ismail told us, he said: Hammam told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Anas, on the authority of Muadh, who said: I am the companion of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he said: Oh Muadh, I said: Labayk and Sa`di, then he said the same thing three times: Do you know what God’s right is upon His servants? I said: No. He said: That they should worship Him and not associate anything with Him. Then he walked for an hour and said: O Muadh, I said: Here I am and I am pleased with you. He said: Do you know what the rights of servants are? If they do that, God Almighty must not punish them.
