Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #48659

On the authority of Jabir, who said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, slaughtered on the day of slaughter two rams with two salty horns, with their horns pointed, and when he looked at them, he said: “Indeed, I have turned my face to the One who created the heavens.” And the earth follows the religion of Abraham, upright, and I am not of the polytheists. Indeed, my prayer, my sacrifice, my life, and my death are To God belongs, Lord of the worlds, He has no partner, and with that I have been commanded, and I am one of the Muslims, O God, from you and to you on behalf of Muhammad and his nation, in the name of God, and God is great. Then he slaughtered.” It was narrated by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, and Al-Darimi. In a narration by Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and Al-Tirmidhi: He slaughtered with his hand and said: “In the name of God and God is great, O God, this is on my behalf and on behalf of those of my nation who did not sacrifice.”
