Hadith #48968
On the authority of Abu Hurairah. He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent Omar to do charity. It was said: Ibn Jamil, Khalid bin Al-Walid and Al-Abbas were prevented. The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Ibn Jamil is not displeased except that he was poor and God and His Messenger enriched him.” As for Khaled, you are wronging Khaled. He has retained his armor and equipment in the path of God. As for Al-Abbas, it is Ali. And the same with her. Then he said: “O Umar, did you not feel that the man’s uncle was like his father?”
