Hadith #51138

وَعَن جُبير بنُ مُطعِمٍ قَالَ: لَمَّا قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَهْمَ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَى بَيْنَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ أَتَيْتُهُ أَنَا وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَؤُلَاءِ إِخْوَانُنَا مِنْ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ لَا نُنْكِرُ فَضْلَهُمْ لِمَكَانِكَ الَّذِي وضعكَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُمْ أَرَأَيْتَ إِخْوَانَنَا مِنْ بَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ أَعْطَيْتَهُمْ وَتَرَكْتَنَا وَإِنَّمَا قَرَابَتُنَا وَقَرَابَتُهُمْ وَاحِدَةً فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّمَا بَنُو هَاشِمٍ وَبَنُو الْمُطَّلِبِ شَيْءٌ وَاحِدٌ هَكَذَا» . وَشَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعِهِ. رَوَاهُ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ أَبِي دَاوُدَ وَالنَّسَائِيِّ نَحْوُهُ وَفِيهِ: «إِنَّا وَبَنُو الْمُطَّلِبِ لَا نَفْتَرِقُ فِي جَاهِلِيَّةٍ وَلَا إِسْلَامٍ وَإِنَّمَا نَحْنُ وَهُمْ شَيْءٌ وَاحِدٌ» وَشَبَّكَ بَيْنَ أَصَابِعه

On the authority of Jubayr bin Mutim, who said: When the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, divided the shares of relatives between Banu Hashim and Banu al-Muttalib, I went to him. And Othman bin Affan, so we said: O Messenger of God, these are our brothers from the Banu Hashim. We do not deny their virtue because of your position that God has placed you in. Among them, have you seen our brothers from the Banu al-Muttalib? You gave them to us and left us, but our kinship and their kinship are one, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said He said: “Banu Hashim and Banu al-Muttalib are one and the same thing.” He interlaced his fingers. Narrated by Al-Shafi’i and in The narration of Abu Dawud and al-Nasa’i is similar to it, and it says: “We and Banu al-Muttalib do not separate in pre-Islamic times or in Islam. Rather, we and they are one thing.” One.” He interlaced his fingers
